UNDERSTAND THE CHANNEL

What is cpa / cpi / cpl?

CPA pays for an agreed action, CPI for an accepted install, and CPL for an accepted lead. Each offer defines which events qualify and how they are attributed.

TYPES, PLACEMENTS & EXAMPLES

Define the action before buying the traffic.

A sale, lead and install are different outcomes. Each example connects an offer visit with tracking and the advertiser’s agreed acceptance criteria.

01CPA / PURCHASE

An accepted ecommerce sale

A visitor follows an approved offer link and buys from the advertiser. The tracking connection associates the purchase with the source, then the advertiser’s validation process determines whether the sale meets the offer’s acceptance requirements.

Define the qualifying purchase, attribution window and treatment of duplicate or cancelled orders. Compare reported sales with accepted conversions before reconciliation.

02CPL / LEAD

A qualified enquiry

An interested visitor opens an offer and submits an enquiry form. Tracking reports the lead to the agreed system; the advertiser checks whether it meets the required eligibility and quality criteria before accepting the conversion.

Agree the necessary fields and validation rules without collecting unnecessary data. A submitted form and an accepted lead remain distinct statuses.

03CPI / INSTALL

An attributed app install

A visitor follows an approved app offer to the appropriate store and installs the app. The agreed measurement system reports the qualifying install event, which is attributed and validated against the offer’s rules before acceptance.

Confirm the install definition and supported measurement integration. A store visit or download alone is not evidence of an accepted CPI conversion.

Illustrative performance offers. Attribution, validation and payment rules are agreed per offer; a click or reported conversion is not automatically payable.

A PRACTICAL START

From your inventory
to an agreed integration.

01

Qualify the offer and source

Agree allowed traffic, countries, conversion events and partner access.

02

Validate attribution

Test click identifiers, postbacks, duplicate handling and conversion windows.

03

Reconcile accepted actions

Compare conversion status and approved payouts before settlement.

CONTROL AND CLARITY

Know what you’re
working with.

Your integration controls

  • Offer and publisher eligibility
  • Targeting and caps
  • Conversion windows
  • Fixed or revenue-share payouts

Measure what matters

Keep clicks, reported conversions, accepted conversions and payable amounts separate. Conversion status matters as much as volume.

Offer availability and payment terms are agreed with partners. A tracked click or reported conversion is not automatically payable.
